New Passport
Documents required to apply for a new passport
General required documents
- Electronic ID card or paper ID card approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with an English translation.
- The passport application form must be correctly filled out in Pashto/Dari and English.
- Two recent photos on a white background.
- Copy of a valid residence permit (Aufenthaltstitel/Ausweis) in Germany.
Special documents for newborns
- A birth certificate that includes the full names of the parents.
- Copies of parents' ID cards and passports.
- Marriage certificate of parents.
If the documents are incomplete, the application will be considered invalid and the passport will not be issued.

Passport services are provided on a first-come, first-served basis only. Walk-ins will not be accepted.
